Ben, a 7-year-old Beagle Mix, was found as a stray running on a Houston construction site before entering BARC. Networkers described him as terrified in the shelter, hiding his head under blankets and pancaking in his kennel. Five people who tried to help pledged $290 toward his rescue. He lost his life at BARC, reported by u/fugueink in the April 17 list update.
