Alaska, a one-and-a-half-year-old Alaskan Husky and Staffordshire mix, lost her life at BARC in Houston. She arrived as a stray with an injured right front paw and was described by shelter notes as treat-motivated and wagging her tail at the front of her kennel. Nine people who tried to help pledged $305 toward her rescue. Her loss was reported by u/fugueink in the BARC 7/25 list update.
