Pretzel, a 3-year-old Staffie mix, was overwhelmed by the shelter environment but walked calmly on a loose leash once outside her kennel. Nine people who tried to help pledged $390 toward her rescue, but she didn't make it out of BARC in Houston. Her loss was reported by u/fugueink in the July 25 list update.
