Chase, a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever Mix, lost his life at BARC in Houston after his owner died and he landed on the euthanasia list. Fifty people who tried to help pledged over $1,360 toward his rescue, but he didn't make it out. His loss was reported by u/fugueink in the July 22 BARC list update.
