Sandy was a one-week-old Labrador Retriever mix puppy at BARC in Houston, one of thirteen born to Serena on July 11. She and her entire family were on the euthanasia list for July 16, and despite pledges from five people totaling $242, they did not make it out. u/fugueink reported on July 20 that Sandy lost her life at the shelter, along with her mother and all twelve of her siblings.
