Rafael, a six-year-old GSD mix, lost his life at BARC in Houston after arriving as a stray. Networkers described him as terrified but non-aggressive, cowering in his kennel with whale eyes and a tucked tail. Eleven people tried to help, pledging $310 toward his rescue.
