Dexter was a two-year-old Labrador Retriever Mix who came to BARC Houston after being found as a stray. Networkers described him as a happy boy who loved everyone, was dog neutral on adoption outings, and enjoyed enrichment. Six people who tried to help pledged $100 toward his rescue. Dexter lost his life at BARC, and his passing was reported by u/fugueink in the 6/10 List Update.
