Ruby, a 5-year-old Staffie mix, was a stray who arrived at BARC in Houston and was described by networkers as stressed and scared in the shelter. Seven people tried to help her, pledging $305 in total toward her rescue. She lost her life at BARC on May 5, as reported by u/fugueink in the BARC 5/4 List Update.
