Ava was a 4-year-old German Shepherd mix who arrived at BARC Houston as a stray on April 27, 2026, with four puppies left behind. Networkers described her as a sweet, friendly, terrified girl who was found hunched in the corner of her kennel with a tense body and dilated eyes. Fourteen people pledged $280 to help her find safety. Ava didn't make it out; her loss was reported by u/fugueink in the BARC 5/2 List Update.
